Reminds me of a friend of a friend. Bought an 82 240. Broke down in Conn.Towed to a garage and was sold an alternator. Still no start!Decided to get towed to NYC to a friends garage.3 hours later,2 tow fees later and he arrives at the garage.My mechanic friend opens the hood,twist the positive battery terminal tight and car is repaired,no charge.Expensive lesson learned!
