Carburated or Injected 240, which is best in the long haul? 200

I'm probably violating the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' axiom, but I keep thinking more and more about removing the fuel injection system on my 84 245 and replacing it with a single or dual Webers. I might just use a Canadian/European intake manifold and Solexes which would be cheaper and probably an easier linkage hookup.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has experience with how these cars perform with carbs instead of injectors. I have a nagging suspicion that performance would be less with the carbs vis a vis a finely tuned injector setup, but I like the simplicity of mechanical systems.
