Coincidence or Not? 200 1987

Bricks:

My Sunday project was to install my ambient temperature gauge. Went smoothly, works properly. Followed instructions carefully from Volvo factory info. Upon completion, I attempted to start the car, misfire, and running poorly. I don't know why. I drove it last night as I do daily, absolutely no problems. After I did this electrical work, the car runs like crap. Is this a coincidence? The car now backfires, won't stay running, and basically won't take the gas and/or air. What suggestions does anyone have? I have limited mechanical skills, and will probably be forced to take it to my Volvo repair which I don't want to do. I checked and double checked everything I had touched, however, I didn't go and unhook the connection to fuse 13 which I had just modified. Fuse 13 appears to have nothing to do with the fuel system (tail lights, instrument lights, etc.) Please help.

Thanks in advance,
