What to replace when doing struts 700 1989

Only the upper strut mount, should it go bad, would mean you have to re-do the entire strut experience (or most of it at any rate), so that is the one item I would replace or examine very carefully. Well, does the 7 series have a dust shield too, because that would be another thing to get right.
That is assuming you do not get the urge to install some fancy springs, which again, meant pulling the strut tower out. When I did the 242Ti, I got upper mounts, struts and sport springs all set to go and did the whole thing.
