5W30 Mobil 1 w/172K. Is it OK in the south??

Been using 10W30 Mobil 1 in the 745T. Noticed a post on an S90 with noisy lifters - 5W30 helped. Would it help mine ? or at 172K should I stick with 10W30?? I am in AL (duuhhh)and it gets somewhat warm down here.
