cruise control surges 20 mph

My cruise control surges 10 to 20 mph and then disengages as it should, but I wish I could use it instead of cursing it.
1992 – 940 Turbo
Vacuum lines are fine, brake switches adjusted and working properly.
Onboard Diagnostic codes Module unit B position two.
Self Diagnosis error code 2-1-2
Component Test shows all systems fine (Brake light switch, Brake valve, Selector Resume, Selector Set, Start inhibitor switch all report good.)
I’m not sure I’m even looking at the right controller under the dash. (Mounted on the sidewall) not to be picky but my wire colors don’t match the FAQ and wire count is different so it is hard to be sure.
Any ideas would be appreciated
Thanks
