A/C Adapter Kit at FCP Groton for 740 Turbo needed on top of Conversion Kit ? 700 1991

All,

I've been looking at purchasing a R-134a conversion kit for my 1991 740 Turbo wagen.

Looking on FCP Groton there is a "A/C Adapter Kit" in addition to the conversion kit offered which is simmilar to other offered at various places. I have not seen the "A/C Adapter Kit" anywhere else.

My question is, when is this extra kit needed?
