another flame trap question 700 1989

I also have a question regarding the flame trap and box on the side of the block. I've read the f.a.q. and there are warnings in there about making sure the tube leading to the oil pan stays in place. Maybe I'm a little dense but I can't figure out if it's in danger of pulling out or dropping in. I replaced the flame trap today. Had already replaced the small vacuum hose going to the nipple. I seem to have a very SLIGHT vacuum at idle at the cap. Going to check the nipple in the manifold tomorrow to see if it's partially clogged. I only have a little bit of vacuum from it, not very strong.
Thanks
