Rough running, 240 200 1984

My 1984 240 chokes and stutters when (a) I push it or (b) I run the motor speed up too high. It tends to be more obvious when the motor or the air are cold. Last winter, it also had a tendency to die at idle when first started.

I think I should be checking the air flow device. Anything else? The plugs are, I think, relatively young (service notebook's out in the car and I'm lazy tonight), but it's not feeling like ignition, more like fuel. Recent enough fuel filter. Not sure about fuel pressure.
