engine running a little hot??? 120-130

You might want to check your ignition timing. If it is not advanced far
enough it will cost you both in power and also make it run hotter. It will
also overheat your exhaust manifold and pipe. I set mine at about 21° with
everything connected, engine idling. If it was retarded it will speed up a lot
when you advance it, so you need to back your idle speed back down so the
centrifugal advance doesn't kick in.
If it starts to ping ("spark knock") you will know you advanced it too far
and you should back it off a couple degrees. MANY of the 122s don't have
good marks on the pulley so timing by ear is a pretty acceptable practice.
What you want is maximum advance with little pinging. "None" is probably
overly restrictive.
