hard start (cold) odd temp reading bogs out just after start if you touch the gas (v6) 700

it's an 85 V6 760 i have noticed some times before i get to normal temp the guage will go from cold and bounce up to *normal* then quickly fall back down.
the other day i noticed i couldent just start and drive away it tryed to die and i went out today and i had to try 3 times to start it!! i have Never had this problems Any ideas or sugestions??
