Will an voltage regulator with slightly different part number work 1800

I'm having problems with my battery charging system. Alternator tested fine,
battery is fairly new, so I'm suspecting the voltage regulator.

I bought a new unit but the numbers are off by 4. Should I be concerned?

My car came with
0190 601 010 AD1/14V 626

The new unit has
0190 601 006 AD1/14V 281

How can I test proper functioning?

Thanks
