89 240 stall code 231 200

89 245 should have the LH 2.4 with the -16 AMM, if I recall correctly. New probably around $300-400, maybe a little less. Prices really vary. Few guys here
on the B-board have them available in used condition.

Check Ebay and car-parts.com for an idea on prices. Be cautious about buying used AMM's from just anyone. Generally most folks feel the rebuilts are not worth the price, but no personal experience their as there are plenty of used ones out on the market.

With AMM disconnected, you should be able to start car and drive with reduced power. Usually this can be an indication of failed AMM. With good AMM car should not start and run.
