Good Price on '91 740T 700 1991

I have an opportunity to buy a '91 740T with 214 K miles on the clock. The present owner has had the car for about 1 year and does not know the history on the Turbocharger, which is my biggest concern. It is in good shape with a normal amount of ware for a 13 year old car.

Any way to check if the turbo is nearing the end of it's life?

How does $2500 sound?
