Engine & Transmission Mounts - DIY? 700 1989

My '89 740 Turbo Wagon (112K miles) has suddenly started shaking and vibrating while driving. It's really bad. I brought it in to my mechanic who looked things over. Apparently I need a new front left engine mount plus a new transmission mount. They wanted outrageous prices for the parts, so I got them myself from FCP Groton (Scan-Tech engine mounts - I hope I am not in for trouble). I actually bought both engine mounts, as I was told you should change them in pairs.

Can anyone tell me if replacing engine and transmission mounts is a DIY job? I have a good jack, a pair of jackstands, and a good set of wrenches/sockets and breaker bars. I am sure I can find good step-by-step instructions in the FAQ, I just want to know if this is a job for the avergae-skilled guy like me.

Thanks a bunch in advance!
