Twisted Front Seat 200 1989

The back of the driver's seat in my '89 240 wagon is twisted. I initially thought it wasn't a big deal, but my back is starting to spasm and methinks the seat is the culprit. My sister's boyfriend, who has my wagon's evil twin, said that it is normal for a Volvo this age and the only option is to swap the seat out. Is this true?

That seems a little extreme, although I did look at that guy's webpage who rebuilt his seat and that was waaaay too much for me. Plus, my seats are in fabulous condition and it will make me nuts to have front seats that don't quite match.
