I fixed the AC problem and it turned out to be the relay just as you mentioned.

I knew it wasn't a low pressure problem or a fast leak. It was rediculously easy to determine that. I wonder why such easy work is so frowned upon and never mentioned in the manuals. A year ago I had resigned myself to never do any AC work. It seemed so technical. All the manuals said this is not a DIY thing - B___ S___!
