Volvo antifreeze in a 960 900

What is the proper antifreeze to use in a 96 960? The label says to use only Volvo antifreeze. Being a BMW owner as well, the convential wisdom is to use the BMW antifreeze ( for bmws of course ) because it is formulated to not corrode the aluminum block.

Does the 960 have the same kind of requirements?
