cruise control unit of 740 in a 940 '95 900 1995

John, a.o.,
Everything is in place. But no CC. Everyting checked. All seems to be ok. The FAQ says: ....The brake and clutch switches get power from the brake light switch. Terminal 3 at the control unit should have power from the brake and clutch switches...
But the wiring diagram says the connection has to be made after the brakelightswitch.
Which is the right method: the one from the FAQ or the wiring diagram? The cruise control unit is manufactored in 1990.
