repairing electric antenna / arial 700

ok I was parking my 740 and the arial was still up. On the side of the car where it is, there was a tree, and it has broken the arial in two.

It's not broken, there's one peice still in the arial itself, and there's another peice of about 3 or 4 extendable peices and the "cable" (with teeth on it).

Any ideas on opening the arial casing (the part with the electrics in it) and attatching the cable (with teeth)?
