Turn signals failure 200 1986

So I was running errands, and I stopped to look at a nice champagne-colored 245 in a corner broker lot. OK. Not buying. Got back in the trusty 1986 244 and discovered that the turn signals are non-op. Ratz, it's alway something!

No dash lights, nothing in either direction, no relay sound.

Tests so far:

1) Fuse is OK. Other items on Fuse #13 work fine.

2) Flasher relay is OK. The emergency flashers work fine, also means Fuse #9 is OK.

3) Still deciding the next step.

Could it be the steering column stalk switch?

Going out to check the fuses again, might have made an assumption, and you know what that means.

Any ideas will be most welcome.

Thanks,

Bob
