In uncharted territory 200 1983

I recently purchased a 1983 240 GL, my first Volvo. I replaced the A/C compressor and drove approx.25 miles to have system evacuated and charged. The next morning the car started but was leaned out on fuel to the point where it would hardly pull itself. Starts every time but won't maintain idle. It came with full factory manuals and I checked every component associated with the fuel system. I had the injectors rebuilt at a reputable shop. Since I couldn't find a component failure I bought a used ECU said to be good. Same symptoms. I hate to keep throwing parts at it. Can the air mass meter ohm out ok but still be bad? One thing I did notice was that the manual said to set your VOM to 4 volts when checking your injectors. Mine have approx. 10.5 on them. I hope someone can shed some light on what the problem might be.
