CARBURETOR CLEANING. DIY? 1800

Hello again

1961 P188
B18B engine

As mentioned earlier, I'm not a great mechanic.

I need to clean out my Carbs. I keep hearing that this is a nightmare becuase I have to get the timing just right on 'em both or FORGET IT.

So, what's the word out there? Should I take it in for this? Or can I do it myself? IF I do take it in, what's a good price to pay for the service? Any recommendations in Los Angeles???

I have experience rebuilding Vespa Carbs though, so I'm not totally out of it.

ALSO, I have some pretty bad GASOLINE VAPOUR in the car. The smell is worst right after I fill up. I assume that cleaning the carbs should help with this, but I'm not sure.

Again, any thoughts?
THANK YOU ALL!

I gotta get my butt in shape so I can keep this car running. She's gorgeous.

G
