Starla mufflers - got questions.

Far as I know, Starla is Walker who about has the muffler world in a monopoly. I just installed a new Starla system in March. All the welds looked classic "factory" to me. Beads uniform, no spatter, perfect ripples. Walker probably makes 50 million + mufflers/year and I'd guess uses state of the art NC welding machines. I'd seriously doubt they would hand weld individual units but I've been wrong before. Wonder if you some how got a fluke.

There was a 2" long flattened section on one pipe (don't remember but think it was outflow pipe from the front muffler). I kinda thought it was supposed to be that way maybe to get the bend correct but I stuck a tail pipe expander inside and hit it with an impact wrench which made it round enough for government work. Everything fit perfectly and have no complaints.
