Are Volvo/ aka Starla front mufflers supposed to be hand welded?

I just received, via mail order, a piece of crappy looking front Starla muffler from FCP, and FCP is telling me that all their Starla front mufflers are hand welded. I asked for a new looking clean factory welded replacement and I was told they are all the same, as mentioned above.

Said muffler was also damaged. It has a flattened end pipe not uniformly round as it should be. Parts will not fit together.

Can someone please give me Starla's tele number. I cannot locate Starla exhaust systems on the Net.
