Rough Idle/start when engine heats up. 200 1993

Had a simular problem on my 93 240. Turned out to be the bottom of the AMM to TB hose, about $15.00. Unbolt the hose and take it out for inspection. Very common spot is on the bottom where it is hard to see.
Also, this could be a common vacuum line problem. They are old and brittle.

All the speed sensor problems I have had have been with the car restarting when hot, never acutally failing when running. However, they are fairly inexpensive and not that difficult to change out.

If you suspect a sensor problem, do the ECU checks with the car warmed up. Another thing to remember on the 2.4 systems is that when you disconnect the neg bat cable for a while and then reconnect, the car take a few cycles to "relearn" the neutral idle setting. Idle cannot be adjusted manualy, the ECU handles that on the 2.4 system.
