quick question on ECT testing. is the FAQ procedure (#'s) valid for a 240 200 1987

Just wanted to know if the process described in the FAQ for testing the ECT is correct for a 240, specifically the values given.

I'm hoping this is the solution to my problem of hte high idle. . .i'm going to check to see that the wire isn't just off the sender (entirely possible), then move on to the more difficult solution of testing/replacing the sender.
