Hi all, finally took the wagon to auto electrical garage, I thought the alt was fine, tested fine every time, it wasn't, had bering replaced..I think,(I am not to firmiliar with the inner workings of the alt). But funny thing, alternator is spun in a diffrent direction, Is that normal?.I replaced voltage reg last week (interior), but when I looked at the alt after it was in the shop, voltage reg is now not accessible w/o removing oil filter..I assume thats normal. On the interior light topic, I replaced the rheastat, and I still can't get the 3 lights that are for the insterment panel to work, (never worked since I bought the car, orange light out bulb always on) there is also 2 more lights on that line, the insterment lights are the pull-twist bulbs thingies (3) and the other 2 are the kind you just pull out, real small. All bulbs good, not sure what to do next. Tried by-passing rheastat, still no juice. (I need a voltimeter) During all of this, my cig lighter stopped working, I noticed 2 male ends on the lighter back, only one has a line going to it, but I couldn't find another line for the other male connecter. Any suggestions? Also today for some odd reason I tried to turn on the heater, temp comtrol real sticky, won't slide to warm, I assume I can easily replace from a puc'n'pull, probably not tricky to switch, correct? And on a unrelated topic..I am sick of mechanics saying crap about my wagon, so what, its primer grey with pinstripes, no rust and great engine and tranny. This garage guy said with a smirk, you probably won't get another 217,000 out of this car..ANYwho...enough about ,I LOVE my wagon, and mechanics should love me if my car is such a piece of junk and I willing to have it fixed. It's all good though, it just keeps me fueled to fix it and keep it trucking. Thanks to all you Bricksters, for helping me through my problems and keeping my awsome wagon in good repair. It's a great car, and it take such a beating too. I drive it like its a get-away car. Thanks again to all. Franco79 245dl 217k..and going..and going...and going....
