How long? 200 1986

A good synthetic oil would PROBABLY be OK for 15 k miles and i'd side with Paul S (Hiya Paul - how the turbo wagon?) that 5 k is enough for the filter. But never, ever, let the oil go for over a year regardless of the mileages you might do. Oil will also degrade with time, as with mileage, and it'll start to carry moisture and other nasties in suspension which are corrosive and affect the lubricating properties of the oil. I'd have thought that changing the oil every 12 months was easy and cheap enough even for the laziest of tightwads - why go longer for what it'll cost and the time it'll take ONCE A YEAR?

Regards,

Big Rich.
