'94-960wagon and longevity 900 1994

BACKGROUND: car has the B6304 engine. car has 208K miles and has recently given some loud valve tap noises and now is running rough at idle. two shops believe it is time for valve/head repairs.

QUESTION: i'd like to get another 100K-150K from the car. there is no rust and have already replaced radio, light lenses and minor things. SHOULD I BE PREPARING FOR ANY OTHER MAJOR REPAIRS DURING THIS ADDITIONAL MILEAGE PERIOD? i already know that i'll probably have to replace the camshaft oil seal as well.

would certainly appreciate any input as i make a decision to invest and keep the car for a new driver in the family or look for something else.
