broken GLT-please help!! 200 1982

well, much to my likeing i bought a 1982 volvo last night from a neighbor. i drove it to school this morning and and when i went out at lunch(four hours after i arrived at school), it refused to start. i worried about it for a while, then went out after school and tried it again, same result, no starting. called mom and she took me home, waited for dad to come home and then left again to try to get it to start. we had the batteries connected for about 15 mins and tried it prolly 50 times, all it would do was click at the starter, nothing more. i just got home again, and have basicly decided that im gonna need to take it to a shop. i live in the suburbs of portland oregon and i want to know for all you volvo guys that live around here , or portland guys in general, where should i have it towed to? do any of you guys have a fav shop or something? and ideas on whats wrong? i just freaking got the car like 24 hours ago. ran fine both times i test drove it, ran fine all last night, ran fine to the school, then when i parked it (it on kind of a downward slope, would this effect anything?) it seemed fine. im sooooo mad right now.

any help is cool
