Help on troubleshooting the LH 2.2 system.....Found a problem with the throttle switch but I need some opinions...... 200 1985

A couple of minutes ago I finished troubleshooting my FI system according to the table on the Bentley manual using my trusted Volt meter. I performed all measurements and everything seemed to be up to specifications. However, when I performed the throttle switch test on PIN 3 it doesn't register continuity in either close or open throttle. The test on PIN 12 seems to be working since when I press full throttle I have continuity.

I tried to troubleshoot the throttle switch itself and I had some trouble hooking up the Volt meter due to it's position. In addition I do not hear the "Click" sound from the switch which I am supposed to hear when the switch is off the idle position.

It seems that the wiring harness is in good condition and I assume that the fault is in the switch since it seems to be working at the full throttle position and not at idle.

Finally could it be posible that a faulty throttle switch could cause my car to stall sometimes when in idle and stopped, or the problem is somewhere else. Otherwise my car drives like a champ.

Thanks of the support guys...

Mike
