740T RPMs Flatten out at 4500. 700 1991

Hi Folks
I've got a new issue to devil me! About 2 months ago, I backed the kickdown cable
off to see if it would encourage the OD to kick in. I have been having a problem with the OD , but at the moment the OD is another issue. By the way, as long as the tempratures were up the OD seemed to work OK , but would not kick in till 50 to 55..
Now that it's cooler no go??? but enough about that!

After backing off the cable I noticed that my RPMs flattened off at a lower number than the 6K I had expected. Sunday I set the kickdown cable back to where it should be and still have a flatting out at 4500. It is a 740T and the archives mention several things that might be going on.

So where should I start looking?

Thanks

Woody
