Idle issue 700

Okay here's today's lesson folks. If you switch parts from one car to another (especially parts that are adjustable), adjust them. I have been trying to trace an idle problem for the better part of 6 months. I had swapped the linkage between the throttle body and the cable wheel from another car. When I checked the TPS alignment and found it fine. When I put the throttle body back on the car and hooked everything back up, I noticed the that the linkage was just short enough to pull the throttle enough to open the switch. Basically I have been running a car that has the throttle closed but the brain thinks it is open, thus closing the idle air valve. No wonder the car stumbled and hiccupped. It was choking to death. I had opened the needle valve all the way so the idle was at least high enough to keep from dying. WHat a difference. There is still a little bit of a miss but I am hoping the injector cleaning I keep hoping to have done will help that.

Anyway, thanks everybody for your suggestions, they were much appreciated.
