'91 240 prblems? 200 1991

I own a "91,240; and lately it had been giving me some problems that I can not figure out. When I go to start the car most of the time it is fine, but every once in a while it does not start (the engine will turn over but then it quits on me). I then try again, and it is fine. Does anyone know what the problem may be? Also, every once in a while it has a hard time with accelleration, when I am getting realy to turn for instance, or coming up a ramp onto the higway and I need to speed up to get with the flow of traffic. PLEASE HELP IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS! THANKS>
