Interior repairs 245, rear seat, removing jump-seat seatbelts 200 1987

my 245 was missing the handle on the back of the seat that allows you to unlatch it when i bought it, and it still is. none of my manuals have any info on what the set-up is like for that handle, and i hoped someone here could give me a rough idea of what i'm dealing with before i try to fix it. there is just an empty hole in the seat, and there were some wires coming out, small gauge piano wire. my father pulled on those to see if they actuated the release latches, and they came out freely, but only a foot or so before i stopped him. anyway, any general descriptions of how it works would be appreciated. Also, my car had the factory rear facing jumpseat, but i removed it. i got off the top seatbelt bolts, but the bottom ones seem to have a free nut on the back. they bolt into the wheelwells. do any of you know where/how to hold the nut in place for removal? thanks, -morgan
