No condensation coming out of A/C drain until I shut the engine off. 200 1985

Hello Brickers.

I repaired my A/C earlier this summer and I have noticed that there is no water coming out of the A/C drain until the engine is shut off.

I removed the drain hose from the bottom of the evaporator case and made sure it was clean and I used a plastic tie wrap to poke around where the hose attaches but it seemed clear. Still no drain until the engine is shut off.

Even then there seems to be very little draining out.

I have heard that it might be draining onto the passenger side floorboard but I pulled the carpet away from the floor near the evap case and I can't see it going there. I also don't have a musty smell in the car.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

PS. I did get my voltmeter installed and It works great but it is too hard to see while driving.
