1800 fanatic buying a 240? 200

I have had an 1800ES for nearly the past 2 years. In that time period I have done all the repairs, tuning, and modifications (such as automatic the manual transmission) to my car myself. Now hear, hopefully not, comes another project. My girlfriend and I are looking to buy a 240. We’ve found a GL here in Tacoma for 1200 with 220000 miles on it. It seems to run good but I don’t have much experience with these cars. What should I check to make sure the car will get a few more miles out of it? I want to check the cylinder compression, what should it be? Where is it on a new car. I’m going to check the oil pressure, how is this done on an ‘83 240GL and what should it be? The car has an automatic transmission, anything special I should look for? Visually the car is a very nice black with tan interior. It seems like it has been taken car of and everything is very clean, but I haven’t gotten down to the real mechanics of it. Please help me with this purchase. Trust me if I get this car I’ll e on the 200 forum with questions and answers all the time. Any advice or help would be very helpful.
