Hesitation, Bucking, Stall 900 1993

Hi,

Well, I'm curious. My 93 940 has had problems this summer. The main issues are:

1. Sometimes it takes two times to start in the morning (Cold).
2. Car is good and warm, car is stopped, and when I stop on the gas to take off, the car hesitates, cuts out, then regains acceleration.
3. When there was some hotter weather 90 degrees or so, the car stalled completely while stopped. The air conditioning was on both tims it stalled, if that makes a difference.
4. At times while cruising at freeway speeds, I get a sense of the car making small jerks, as it it is bucking/hesitating. I think the fuel level might have been below half, but so far I have not been able to determine that a pre-pump is acting up.

Recent Repairs:

I just had a major tune-up. They serviced the throttle body. Serviced Breather System. They also replaced the Fuel Pump Relay, because they said it had cracks in the contacts or something. They thought this might have been causing some of my issues. They now think there might be something wrong with the Idle Speed Motor.

Problems continue:

After all this work was done, there still is the problem of the car taking two times to start in the morning (cold). In the warm weather while driving in rush hour traffic, as I'm rolling at 10MPH and slowing, then step on the gas, the car hesitated, and then it did it again shortly after that. The air conditioning was on, if that makes some difference? One time starting the car after leaving work (engine still slightly warm) the idle dropped real low, and went back up which seemed to cause the engine to shake.

Any ideas? One thing I need to make a note of, I have a 93 940, but apparently I have a 240 engine in it as the distributor cap and rotor arm piece is located towards the front of the engine. I think it takes the same part as my 79 240. I'm not sure this makes a differenceo or not as to what other components are different in it compared to a normal 940 engine.

Thank you,

Michael
