Shiftless 1800 1965

Thanks Rolfe. As I had never driven this particular car before, after 265 miles (pre trip to Nevada) of driving, the shift speeds just came naturally. The over drive functions very well, so keeping in mind the limitations, not to exceed 6500 rpm, and maximum hp developed at 5800 rpm, the trip should go very well.
Your shift points ie 1st to about 20 mph, 2nd at 30 mph, 3rd at 40 mph, work out to all be at about 5500 rpm (based on my 1965 standard gear ratios, a 4.56:1 rear end and 165x15 tire size). Calculations for 4th for me @ 5500 rpm would be about 53 mph and the 4thO/D works out at about 70 mph @ 5500rpm.
Thanks for your input. I'm Havinfun
