Exhaust manifold gasket 700

Hello-
Tomorrow afternoon I have decided its time to fix those leaky exhaust manifold gaskets. My Haynes manuals make it sound extremely complicated and the FAQ helps boost my self-confidence a little bit. My question is this, is it absolutley nesecary to take the turbo off on my 744ti to do the job? If my goal is to remove as little as possible which nuts besides the manifold brace and manifold nuts do i remove as to get enough clearance to drop in the gaskets? Any tips on what to watch for to keep from fudging things too much besides the obvious(i.e. rags in turbo/block etc)? I REALLY dont want to have to mess with pulling the turbo and disconnecting the oil lines. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Also any specific tools that might come in handy?
Thanks
John Parker
