Alternator wires / oil pressure sender 200 1983

On the back of my alternator I 'think' there are 3 wires coming off of it?
Small black (case to frame), Large red and a small wire on the same post? I know that the large red goes to the starter then to the battery. But where does the small wire go to? Possibly the gray connector on the firewall...if so what colo is it? And the same with the oil pressure sender wires...gray connector again? What colors?
If someone can give me some help I will be pulling the alternator and replacing lots of wires....quite a bit of large red wire insulation is baked off and bare so I dont think the others can be in too good of shape.

any help appreciated

cavin
