B20E compression testing 140-160

Sounds normal to me. When I was in HS, we had a 544 with a really nice drivetrain and a 67 144S with a smokey, ultra tired engine. The good engine was 127 psi and the poor one 190.

My current 544 motor was supposed to, by spec, have higher cranking comp than it does- around 155 to 185 depending on what you do, and to what cylinder, and with a more than pleasing variance. Still, it goes *well*.

I've more than once seen compression of a worn out motor be high- my guess is that the b20's wear out so slowly and incrementally that there is lots of time for tons of carbon build up, esp on those used only on short trips or by older olders who drive gently.
