stupid air conditioner 900

so wensday i hop in the 960 and notice after driving a bit the air condtioner isnt kicking in and a clickity noise well being the rocket scientist i am figured "hey...ill get to it this weekend"
alrighty well friday as i drive from school to work i notice a real hot rubber smell so i pop the hood and notice my belt is rubbing hard against the A/C pulley

okay well crap i'll just limp her home then........

nope natta clock off at work and start her up and after a second or two of god awful screecching......i had melt/snapped my serpentine belt (the power steering/AC/alternator belt)

so here's what iam gussing.
1. the AC clutch pack just grabbed hold and burnt itself out.
2. a $1 bolt jammed into the pulley and froze things up.
3. my whole f-ing air conditioner condensor decided i had bad mouthed its mother and seized up.

anyone else had condensor problems? anyone else had to get a second mortgage for the new compressor?
