1989 760 turbo, just dies when driving down highway 700 1989

Look for holes in the big rubber air intake hoses. The 700FAQ has lots more info but that's what it sounds like. Basically air gets metered through the AMM, passes through the turbo but then leaks out on its way to the engine. Causes a real rich mixture. Probably have fouled plugs too by now, and I'd buy at least two sets while you troubleshoot this. They're pretty cheap if you don't get them from Volvo. The hoses you'll probably HAVE to get from Volvo, but once they're fixed, the trouble will be over.
