Right front rattle 700 1990

Hello All.

My 1990 740gl has a rattle that appears to be coming from the right front of the
car. You can only hear it with the passenger window down. It sounds like a sheet
metal/knocking noise. I have checked the exhaust, the rear heat shield is tight.

It almost seems that it will stop if I put pressure on the brakes. I cant't think of anything that would rattle in the front braking system, but I an no mechanic. It only rattles when I hit bumps in the road. Has anyone else had this problem or have any ideas ? This is driving me nuts, a lot of the roads
here in New England are not exactly smooth. The sounds like a 1982 Chevy
Citation going down the Ho Chi Min trail.
