O2 Sensors for 940 w/Bendix Regina 900 1994

Results of experimentation with O2 sensors for this vehicle with Bendix/Regina system. These cars have one sensor in the cat. The generic Bosch 3 wire sensor did not make the ECU happy. On a scope, the voltage did swing, but only sluggishly and it did not vary at all at idle. Car ran very well, however; engine code for O2 sensor kept being set. Ordered OEM part from Brentwood Volvo; the part number is 3547445. The unit is stamped NTK A4F (made by NTK in Japan), and comes with the original 4 pin harness plug. OEM part makes the ECU happy and no codes are set. Oxygensensors.com lists an OEM replacement unit, part #250-23080 that has the same 4 pin plug on the harness, but did not try this last part out. At 1/2 the price of the Volvo part, someone should give it a try, however. Thanks,
-WF
