Thanks for the suggestions. I have already asked her to try to reposition the key the next time the problem occurs.

I guess I had missed the bit about there being a history of ignition switch problems. That is good to know - I might be on the right path. I'll have a chance to check it out more over the weekend. I know what you mean by the young neck. I think I can remember that far back.
