simple machine 700

I'd like to rave a little bit. I have a 1988 740 Turbo sedan with an m46. It now has 247000 miles on it. It had 220000 on it when I got it. I paid a pittance for the car and have showered it with small repairs and one headgasket. In return I have been able to take it on trips from Ohio to New Orleans and recently a 2000 mile trip from Ohio to Maine with no problems and 28mpg to boot. Well, I can't truthfully say no problems. I did have to replace a headlight.

Not only am I not making car payments and escaping the need to feed my new car materialistic needs but I feel confident and competent enough to take the car anywhere and appreciate the old car for what it is. A well built and well kept machine. I bought it halfway though college and was planning on selling it after graduation for something a little slicker. I'm planning on keeping it now.

I'd like to thank the contributors and creators of this board as well. If it weren't for this forum I would have scraped it long ago. Thanks,

I'd post a picture but I cant figure out how.
