AC idle control valve? 200 1975

I asked this question over on the 140/160 board since my car is a '74 144. I got one good suggestion (thanks, George), which is that this solenoid/valve is to adjust idle rpm when the AC kicks inn. If this indeed is the AC idle control valve, can somebody from the 240 group please verify that the positive terminal on this valve hooks up to the AC clutch power supply, so that the valve is energized as long as the AC is running. Or, should the power to this valve be hooked up somewhere else, or are there other components involved in this system as well? I'm trying to bring all of this stuff back to stock condition, so it's becoming a bit long-winded in some cases.
The attached picture is not from my car, but the setup is almost identical.

Thx,
Kåre
